Deliberate Practice Supervision: Introductory Certification Course with Dr. Alex Vaz, PhD
You’ve taught the models. You’ve discussed the cases. But deep down, many trainers and supervisors still ask: “How can I help my trainees to turn knowledge into real clinical skill?”
If you’ve ever asked yourself this question, you’re not alone. Research confirms what many of us already feel: traditional supervision doesn’t reliably improve therapists’ skills and effectiveness. Good intentions and theory just aren’t enough.
This 4-week online certification course is for clinicians, supervisors, and trainers ready to break that cycle. Learn to use the Sentio Supervision Model and Deliberate Practice (DP), a research-informed, structured approach to maximize the effectiveness of your trainings and supervision. For several years, Sentio has been at the forefront of developing Deliberate Practice theory, applications and peer-reviewed research (https://sentio.org/sentioresearch). Whether you're new to DP or already experimenting with it in your setting, this course will give you practical, hands-on tools to transform how you train and supervise clinicians. Led by Dr. Alexandre Vaz, co-creator of the Sentio Supervision Model and co-editor/author of The Essentials of Deliberate Practice (APA Books), this course brings cutting-edge supervision methods to life through video, modeling, and live practice.
